Hornbeck, Helen J. age 96 formerly of Tipp City, OH passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Masonic Home in Springfield where she had spent her last 13 years. Born March 6, 1922 in Trotwood, OH to Harvey and Stella (Dorn) Miller.  Helen began her career as a beautician and later worked at the First National Bank in Troy.  A member of the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene and was very active in the Masonic Home church.  She loved cooking, baking, and camping with her family.  Her greatest love was her family.  Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth L. Hornbeck in 1994 and one son Max Hornbeck in 2007; also several siblings.  Surviving Helen are her daughter Denise (Robert) Smith, Dayton. Granddaughters Jamie Smith (Aaron) Sickel, Hawaii and Kerry Smith (Brad) Blevins, Texas.  One grandchild Sutton Blevins.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.  Pastor Rachel Kuhn officiating.
