Gwen M. {Howell} Vogeler, 57, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 in Troy, OH. Born at the Bethesda Naval Hospital, Bethesda, Maryland and most recently residing in Tipp City, Ohio, Gwen was employed by American Family Insurance in Tipp City. She was an avid reader, enjoyed euchre, fishing, flower-gardening, quilting, and playing the piano, especially at the family Christmas celebration each year. Gwen is preceded in death by her father, Albert C. Howell, MD, son Matthew A. Johnson, and sister Evonne (Howell) Valentic. She is survived by her husband, Clary Vogeler, of Tipp City, mother, Adrienne K. Howell, also of Tipp City, sons G. Chip Johnson (Sarah) of Gainesville, Florida and Christopher Johnson of Union, Ohio, stepson Justin Vogeler of Vandalia, Ohio, sister Allison J. Howell, MD (Eric Leonhart) of Cincinnati, Ohio and brother-in-law Lou Valentic of Eatonton, Georgia. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8 from 2-4pm at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 West Main Street, Tipp City, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
