Schmitz, George H. age 90 of Beavercreek, OH passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Born September 4, 1927 in Wapakoneta, OH to the late Harry and Hulda {Zwiebel} Schmitz. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Martha, his devoted companion Adelle Elshoff and his son in-law, James Sheehan. He is survived by his daughters, Gerri Sheehan, Linda Brandon, Darlene (Ken) Seibert, son, Stephen (Debi) Schmitz, brother, Earl Schmitz and grandchildren, Maria (Eric) Hofstetter, Amy (Sean) Britton, Dianna (John) Outten, Jeff (Nicole) Seibert, Tim (Kelsey) Seibert, Jonathan Seibert and Lance Cash. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Chloe, Madeline and Connor Hofstetter, Mackenzie, Ashley and Morgan Britton, Corrine and Dean Outten, Lyla and Kate Seibert, Grady and Lexan Seibert. George proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and was a signalman for B & O Railroad. Visitation 5:00 to 7:00 PM , Friday, April 27, 2017 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Memorial service 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Trinity Community Beavercreek. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Life Enrichment Fund or Hospice of Dayton.
