Coon, Gary D., Tipp City passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. Born August 17, 1944 in Piqua, Ohio to Kenneth and Juanita "Peg" {Bumgardner} Coon Sr. He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Peg Millbourn, Troy, OH, his loving wife of 50 years, Susan {Costello} Coon, Tipp City, children; Jeffery and his wife Michelle Coon, Johnscreek, GA, Candolyn "Candi" and her husband Jay Wilson, Mars, PA, and Amy and her husband Brian Case, Tipp City, OH. Gary is also survived by his siblings; Charlotte (Steve) Thomas, Kenny (Susan) Coon Jr., all of Troy, OH and Cindy Dull, Wisconsin along with his grandchildren; Nathan and Brandon Coon, CJ, Charrie and Christi Wilson, Bailey, Connor and Nolan Case. Gary was a graduate of Bradford High School and Miami Jacobs College; he was retired from General Motors where he worked for 36 years. Gary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City. A loving Christian man, who was very involved with his children and grandchildren, attended many activities for his grandchildren from Tipp City to Lexington, KY, Pittsburg, PA, Indiana and many more. He was a huge UD basketball and Ohio State fan, but his grandchildren were the "light of his life". Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 1, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM, Sunday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
