It is with great sadness that the family of Floyd Raymond Baxter announces his passing on Monday, July 24, 2017, at the age of 79 years. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years Mary Jane, infant son Donald, his mother Twila, and his father Floyd. He is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Frank Baxter (Susan), Shelly Layman (Dave), and Debbie Wilks (Garth). Floyd will be fondly remembered and missed dearly by his grandchildren, Natalie and Emma Baxter, Marissa and Sophia Layman, and Connor Wilks. He is also survived by his sister Clover and her family of Michigan, sister Nancy Butler of Michigan, and brother Dave and his family of California.
Floyd graduated from Louisville High School in 1955 and served his country in the United States Army soon after. He was a sales representative for Automation Industries before starting his own company, Baxter Enterprises, with his wife Mary Jane in 1986. Along with being an avid Bridge player his passion was spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1:30 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, July 28th at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in loving memory of Floyd to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Ohio.
