Father Stephen White, age 73, previously of Tipp City died on Monday, December 16, 2013 at his home in New London, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on January 17, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Father White was born on October 5, 1940 in Tipp City, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University and later studied theology at St John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 29, 1998 and served at the Cathedral of Our Lady in Duluth, Minnesota, St. John's in Grand Marais, Minnesota, and Holy Rosary in Grand Portage, Minnesota. He is survived by daughter Karen (Rob) Bailey of Dublin, Ohio; daughter Ellen (Tom) McClure of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; son Jason White of Toledo, Ohio; mother of his children Carole White of Napoleon, Ohio; and grandchildren Corey, Trevor, Haley, Alyssa, and Connor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Ruth and his brother, Robert. Steve was always involved in the communities where he resided: He served several years as the chairman of the Mum Festival in Tipp City and was also the general chairman of Napoleon's Sesquicentennial Celebration in 1984. A family graveside service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W.
