Yahne, Eunice Fitzgerald, (formerly of Tipp City) passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Sterling House of Troy, at the age of 90. Eunice was born on April 15, 1922 in Mt. Sterling, OH, one of twelve daughters of the late Jessie Inez (Gardner) and Joseph Edward Fitzgerald. She was a graduate of Sidney High School. She married John James Yahne in 1943 and they shared almost 59 years together. In retirement they loved spending their winters in the West visiting and hiking in the National Parks. She loved sharing those memories with family and friends. Eunice was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church for 56 years and was also a long-time member of the National Campers & Hikers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, ten of her eleven sisters, her husband John, and grandson Dale Yahne. She is survived by her three sons; J. Edward (Nancy) Yahne, Tipp City; Ron (Ruth Ann) Yahne, Clinton, UT; and Gerald (Gail) Yahne, West Chester, OH; grandchildren Holly (Paul) Reinke, Albuquerque, NM; Brian Yahne, Tipp City; Jay (Lori) Yahne, Layton, UT; great granddaughters Rosemary Yahne, Layton, UT; and Sydney Yahne, Tipp City; and sister Dorothy Palmer, Springfield, OH. Family will receive friends 4-6:00pm Friday, December 21 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City. Funeral service will be held 10:30am Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, corner of Third and Main Street, with burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Pastor Bonita Wood officiating. Contributions may be made to the Tipp City United Methodist Church or Hospice of Miami County in Eunice's name.
