Davis, Eugene William Age 80, born January 23, 1934, in Indianapolis, IN, passed away May 20, 2014, at his home in Tipp City, Ohio. He is survived by Carole Davis, his beloved wife of 57 years, and his two sons Randall Gene (Rebecca) Davis and Scott Leland Davis, and his two daughters Laurel Ann Davis (Chris) Van Dromme and Lynne Elizabeth (Davis) (Robert) Nischwitz; and four grandchildren Mojo Hancey-Davis, Vienna and Liam Van Dromme, and Noelle Nischwitz. He graduated from Fairview High School. After many years of active service in student organizations including Phi Kappa Tau, Ohio Staters, Sphinx, The Sundial, and The Makio, he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Engineering as a Landscape Architect in 1956. He began his career with DuBois Chemicals as a salesman, before starting his own cleaning supplies business Davis Chemicals servicing small and medium-sized businesses and schools in the Southwest Ohio region. In retirement, Gene enjoyed crafting jewelry, growing roses and inventing garden and carrying tools. He was active in the Tipp City United Methodist Church and the Bruckner Gem and Mineral Club. A memorial services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Tipp City United Methodist Church at 8 W. Main Street, Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Friends and Family will be received at the church from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to services.
