Brandenburg, Eugene "Gene" age 91 of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday December 26, 2018. He was born April 26, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Arthur and Evelyn {Rike} Brandenburg. Eugene is also preceded in death by his son Todd Brandenburg. He is survived by his loving wife Retta {Childers} Brandenburg, son, Scott (Karen) Brandenburg, Seattle, WA, sisters, Marcella Washburn, Fairborn, OH, and Betty Lange, Dayton, OH.

Gene proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy.  He retired from Bilbrey Construction as a carpenter.  He enjoyed wood working, tree trimming and yard work.
