Judy, Elaine S. age 82 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 surrounded by her family. Elaine was born October 9, 1942 to Ernest and June {Walther} Cook in Celina, Ohio. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents and son in law; James Vassar. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years; James Judy of Tipp City, children; Leslie Vassar of Toledo, Jennifer (Philip) Adornetto of Columbus and Jeff (Nikea) Judy of Tipp City and sister; Jane (Martin "Woody") McIntire of Delaware, Ohio. Also surviving are grandchildren; Jacob (Betsy Stacy) Vassar, Samuel Vassar, Turner, Isabella and Anthony Adornetto and Bo, Sloane and Dane Judy.

Elaine was a graduate of Memorial High School in St. Mary's, Ohio in 1960. She received her bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in 1964 and married the love of her life just a few short weeks later on June 28, 1964.  She went on to earn her Master's Degree from Wright State University.  Elaine worked at St. Mary's and New Knoxville high schools and retired from Tippecanoe High School in June 2005 where she taught typing, business, accounting, and word processing classes. She also served as adjunct faculty at Edison State College where she taught shorthand. She enjoyed reading, especially on the beach, getting together with fellow retired teachers for luncheons, and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes. Elaine loved vacationing with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Elaine's Life will be held on January 11, 2025 at the Tipp City Eagles from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. The family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Elaine's honor to please  Hospice of Miami County, 3230 S. Co.
