Rentz, Eileen Marie (King) of Troy, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with AML. She was born on April 20, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alfred and D. June (Fitzharris) King. Eileen is preceded in death by her parents and brother David King. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Wayne Rentz, brother Paul L. (Connie) King, sisters Kathleen M. (Norbert) Duell and Carol (Tom) Eagle, sister-in-law Cheryl King, children Nathan (Kathryn) Rentz and Elisabeth (Justin Beck) Rentz, grandchildren Jaden, Hannah, Andrew and Reagan and nieces and nephews.
Eileen was a graduate of Julian High School, class of 1969. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City and St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Troy volunteering for baking and the after school program. An avid animal lover, she cared for many pets during her life, including cats, dogs, turtles, fish, goats and especially horses. Eileen was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother, always placing her family at the center of her life. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support were the foundation upon which her family thrived. She found great joy in spending time with her friends and loved ones and cherished every moment with them, ensuring their hearts were warmed with laughter and love. An avid lover of card games and nature, Eileen enjoyed playing euchre and gin, as well as planting flowers and nurturing them as they grew.
A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Baptist Church, located at 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM. Eileen will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Eileen's name to the Leukemia Foundation www.leukemiarf.org or Hospice of Miami County 3230 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
