Burchett, Edward E. Sr. 79 of Tipp City passed away at his home on Sunday January 1, 2012. Born January 19, 1932 in Ashland, KY to Virgil and Hazel {Payton} Burchett who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brother; James Burchett and 2 sisters; Nettie Ellis and Eva Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years; Betty Lou {Van Dyke} Burchett, daughter; Pamela Johnston, Union, OH, son; Edward E. Burchett Jr. and his wife Marcella, Altamonte Springs, FL, daughter; Donna and her husband Frank Gillott, Troy, OH, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Edward was retired from GHR Foundry, Dayton, OH where he was employed as a supervisor and was a member of the Troy Fish and Game Club. Funeral services 10:30 AM, Saturday January 7, 2012 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371, burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Garden, Vandalia. Visitation 5 to 8 PM Friday January 6th at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in memory of Edward to Hospice of Miami County.
