Snyder, Dorothy "Kay" {Wampler-Hopper}, age 74 of Tipp City, OH passed away Tuesday April 10, 2018 at Koester Pavilion. Born August 26, 1943 in Troy, Ohio to the late Phillip Ward Wampler and Cleo {Cline} Wampler Puterbaugh. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, June Kyle, step-sister Geneva Day and sister in-law Pat Wampler. Kay is survived by her husband, Gary Snyder, sons, Anthony Hopper and Greg (Sharon) Hopper all of Tipp City, OH step children, Amy (Lee) Strayhorn, Pamela (Matt) Misleh, Lori (Jim) Hennessy, and Nicholas (Sarah) Snyder. Also surviving are brothers, Phil Wampler, Mose (Judy) Wampler, all of Tipp City, OH, Richard (Joan) Wampler , Phoenix, AZ and Sam (Beth) Wampler, Sugar Grove, OH, step-sister, Alice Maddux, grandchildren, Kristen Marie, Brianna Bailey, Tyler Scott & Makayla Marie Hopper and great grandson, Carter Thomas McKinney. Kay was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School and was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church. She worked as a Legal Secretary for the Miami County Courts. Funeral 10:30 AM, Friday, April 13, 2018 at Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 E. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio; Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April l 12th at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Kay to the Tipp City UMC memorial fund.
