Zimmerman, Dorothy K. {Witherspoon} "Dottie" age 94 of Tipp City passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022. Born January 29, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland to Samuel C. and Mary G. {Slaght} Witherspoon. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Richard Zimmerman and brother; John Witherspoon. Dottie is survived by her children; Rick Zimmerman of Tipp City, Libby (Craig) Dixon of Bowling Green, Ohio, John (Cathy) Zimmerman of Upper Arlington, Ohio and Jay (Trisha) Zimmerman of Cincinnati,  Ohio. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Dottie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Tipp City Senior Citizens, Miami County Hospice and was a board member on the Miami County Recovery Council. She was active at the Tipp City Needy Basket, Clothesline and FISH of Tipp City. Dottie was selected as Outstanding Senior Citizen of Miami County 2022. She retired from Tipp City Schools where she was a teacher for over 35 years.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2022 10:30 AM until time of Mass at 12:30 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Father Andrew Smith, Celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Dottie to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Miami County Hospice, 3230 N.
