Compton, Dorothy F. 95 of Tipp City passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City. Born December 15, 1920 in Long Island, NY to the late Phillip and Flora {Waters} Irwin. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Compton and sister, Kathleen Agnes Gands. She is survived by her son James and his wife Cristine Callahan, Anna Marie Island, FL and daughter, Dorothy Law, Tipp City, OH along with grandchildren, Carrie (Tony) Rowland, Amy (Pete) Stueve, James "Andy" (Jen) Labosky, Kevin, Christopher and Jason Callahan and great grandchildren, Sammie and Jake Rowland, Lydia, Ben and Charlie Stueve and Drew and Alex Labosky. Dorothy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Eucharistic Minister and volunteered at Miami Valley Hospital. She dearly loved her family; especially her grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH; Father R. Marc Sherlock, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
