Overbey, Dorothy Aleen {Blubaugh}, 87 of Tipp City, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Miami County Hospice. Born November 25, 1927 in Vigo County, Indiana to the late Vinny and Dolly {Moore} Jackson. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Overbey and brother, Jack Blubaugh. She is survived by her son, Dennis and his wife Pam Furlong, Smyrna, TN, daughter, Vickie and her husband Steve Fine, Tipp City, OH, 6 grandchildren, Eric (Kelly) Fine, Jason (Meredith) Fine, Adam (Jennifer) Fine, Heather Littlejohn, Sarah (Brad) Morton, and Ryan (Chelsea) Littlejohn, 10 great grandchildren and special friend, Harry Tomlinson. Dorothy was a 1945 graduate of Tippecanoe High School, and worked for A. O. Smith as a secretary for 36 years before retiring. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 586, presently serving as Sargent at Arms; she was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary serving as chaplain, a member of the Eagles Auxiliary # 2201, Am Vets #99 and Tippecanoe Senior Citizens. She loved golfing, bowling, playing cards and singing Karaoke. She was dedicated to helping the veterans and volunteered many hours at the Dayton VA Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:30 AM, at FRINGS AND BAYLFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating; burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
