Lindsay, Doris M. "Dorie", age 97 of Tipp City, Ohio died Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Randall Residence. Dorie was born in Evansville, Wisconsin on February 23, 1919 to Mark V. and Elizabeth I. (Thompson) Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years Ronald Lindsay in 1996; as well as her sisters Nellie Bidwell and Edna Thompson and her brother Morris Charles "Bud" Moore. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and a member of the 9 Hole League at the Troy Country Club and Homestead Golf Course where she had previously served as Secretary and Treasurer for both. She loved playing poker. Her 6-Pack of Friends were so very special to her and she had many "best friends". She loved them all. Dorie is survived by her sister-in-laws Marlene Cagnoni, Joan Lindsay, and Dawn Lindsay. Nieces and nephews Joyce Anne Moeller, Dick Moore, and Nancy and her husband Sheridan Marquardt. Also surviving is very special caregiver and friend to Dorie for many years Barbara Pelletier and her family. Barb was a daughter to Dorie and Dorie was a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother to Barb's family. Her husband Fred Pelletier and her "grandchildren" and their spouses Marc (Dena) Pelletier and their children Max, Lilly, Gabi, and Mia; Laura (Tim) Jones and their children Matt and Chris will all miss her very much. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 735 S. Hyatt Street, Tipp City. Father R. Marc Sherlock celebrant. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Visitation will be at St. John's from 9:30 am until time of service. Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice and St. John's Memorial Fund.
