Dixon, Donald Eugene age 91 of Seminole, Florida, peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Friday, November 4, 2022.  Don was born November 13, 1930 in Tipp City, Ohio to Harry A. Dixon and Treva Irene Dixon (Hawn).  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janice Wullenweber.  Don is survived by his wife of 69 years Carolyn (Ditmer) Dixon, his children, Scott (Kathy) Dixon of Tipp City, Denise (Bjorn) Brunvand of Largo, Florida and Craig (Libby) Dixon of Bowling Green, Ohio.  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Don was well known in Tipp City, spending most of his life there, graduating in the class of 1948.  Don served in the Naval Reserve after high school followed up by working at Frigidaire, NCR and Hobart.  For several years he worked in the evenings and weekends at Springhill Nurseries.  This was the job he most enjoyed, getting to meet countless people visiting the nursery.

Don attended United Methodist Church while living in Tipp City until relocating to Florida in the mid '90's.  When he relocated to Florida, he left countless friends in the Tipp City area, many of which he reunited with in Florida.

Fondly known as the "Candy Man" by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, he always had a special place in his heart for all of them and never failed to show up to see them without candy in his pocket and a smile on his face, which they will never forget.

A private ceremony will be held in Seminole, Florida at a future date.
