Bergemeier, Donald James age 89 of Bethel Township, Tipp City, Ohio died Saturday May 28, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. Born June 20, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio to Joseph B. and Ethel (McDonner) Bergemeier. Don was a retired pressman from Dayton Press and a member of their 25 year club, an Army Veteran of WW II, member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Tipp City and the K of C, and a member of the American Legion Post #586 Tipp City. Preceded in death by his parents, his son Donald J. Bergemeier, his sibilings Bernice Kidd, Joseph Bergemeier, Elizabeth Padgett, and Virginia Spatz. Surviving Don are his wife Elaine (Horton) Bergemeier, son Bruce A. (Lorna) Bergemeier, Bethel Township Tipp City and daughter Therese (Jim) Barkalow, Springville, Iowa. Siblings Patricia (Carl) Hess, Washington Court House , OH; Rita (John) Buchholtz, Englewood, OH; Curtis (Wanda) Bergemeier, Washington State. Grandchildren Jason Bergemeier; Angie Bergemeier Jones; Patrick, Benjamin, Elisabeth, Christopher, Peter, Jacob, Paul, James, Jonathan, Angelica, and 10 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial 11:00 am Friday June 3, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, S. Hyatt St. Tipp City. Father R. Marc Sherlock celebrant. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. Visitation 6 - 8 pm Thursday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 West Main Street, Tipp City, 45371 and one hour prior to mass on Friday at the church.
