Dianna “Diane” Marie Hatton, age 82 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Friday October 9, 2026.
She was born December 9, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to Omer and Clare (Barhorst) Monnin.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Howard Monnin, Roger Monnin, Gerald
Monnin, Joan Honaker, Ronald Monnin, Mary Margaret Borden, Doris Neace; her loving
husband Chuck “Charlie”, and her beautiful Granddaughter, Ashley. She is survived by her
children; Christine (Carl) Groeschen, Jill (Todd) Smith, Ohio, Karen (Kelly) Jess, Joe (Danielle)
Hatton and Brenda (Rob) Groeschen and sister Lois Franke. Also surviving are grandchildren;
Samantha (Gibson) Pyper, Kayla (Matthew) Keyt, Mindy (Josh) Delver, Jake (Natalie)
Groeschen, Lucas (Megan) Terrell, Nick (Paige) Hatton, Brooke (Cameron) Wombald, John
Hatton, Carlie Groeschen, Annie Groeschen, Jackie Groeschen and Molly Groeschen, and
great grandchildren; Braylee, Skylar, Alyssa, Ava, Madelyn, Elizabeth, Nash, Knox, Emmett,
Reed, Theo, Everleigh, Weston, Lorelai and Clara.
Diane was an exemplary matriarch of her family; a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend,
grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy, and she devoted her life
to them with warmth, generosity and a quiet sense of humor. Though her family was spread
across the country, Diane made every effort to be present. She was always there for her
grandchildren, cheered from the sidelines at games, and was there for all major milestones.
Diane’s faith guided her kindness and strength. She was a devoted partner and caregiver to her
husband and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites those
wishing to honor Diane’s memory to consider making a contribution to the Ashley Flynn
Memorial Fund. Checks may be made payable to National Financial Services, with “Ashley” noted in the
memo line. Contributions may also be made online on GoFundMe. Arrangements have been entrusted to
Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
