Obituary

Robinson, David Paul, age 77 of Tipp City went home to be with his Lord on May 13, 2014. He was born on October 31, 1936 in Bellville, OH to the late Paul & Florence {Daniels} Robinson. Also, preceding him in death were his sister Eleanor O'Neal of Piqua, his in-laws, Tom & Hazel Hill; sister in-law and husband Jean & Vernon Myers of Wapakoneta; sister in-law, Billie Wills of Covington and a nephew, Steve Hill of Piqua, David graduated from Piqua Central High School, class of 1956. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Jane Hill on September 7, 1957. They shared their lives together for 56 wonderful years. They lived in Piqua until 1966 and the remainder of their lives in Tipp City. David will be missed and remembered by his loving children; Mark David & Lisa Robinson of Minford, OH and Jane Elizabeth & Larry Hinkle of Fort Worth, TX. Grandchildren; Christopher Robinson of Minford; Sgt. Tyler & Chandler Robinson of Anchorage, Alaska; Ashley Robinson of Minford, OH; Shauna McClaskey of Tipp City, OH, Kate Jocson of Ft. Worth, TX; Kara & Andrew Shipp of Tipp City, OH; Ryan Hinkle of Atlanta, GA and Jeremy Hinkle, Colfax, California. Great Grandchildren; Judah Robinson; Bryce Smith; Isabelle Grace Jocson and Addison Hinkle. They brought great joy to David and he never tired of being with and loving them. Surviving are his brother & wife, Lincoln & Shirley Robinson of Piqua; Brother & wife, Jim & Naomi Robinson of Piqua; Brother in-law & wife; Tom & Brenda Hill of Piqua; sister in-law & husband, John & Susan Davis of Pleasant Hill. A special friend and brother in Christ, Steve Booher of Tipp City as well as many nieces and nephews. David was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tipp City. He was a Trustee for many years and loved serving his Lord and church in many ways. David was an avid sports person, pitching in high school he helped lead his team to two league championships. He also played for the Piqua Merchants. He also played in several other basketball leagues. David started the Pee Wee Football organization in Tipp City in 1969 and also started T-ball and was an umpire for many years. He loved his Ohio State team, being a fan on radio first in 1948! David worked at Angel Manufacturing for 32 years and Tipp City Schools as custodian for 11 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church 6533 S. Tipp-Cowlesville Rd., Tipp City, OH. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Pastor Gary Boggs and David's brother, Rev. Lincoln Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Vandalia. Donations may be made in loving memory of David to the First Baptist Church of Tipp City or Hospice of Miami County. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371.
