David Alan Caudell, 73, of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital after suffering congestive heart failure for several years. He was the loving husband of Marsha Millican Caudell. They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on May 25th.
Born in Dayton, Ohio on September 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Stephen Paul and Garnett (Bowker) Caudell. He was a 1968 graduate of Colonel White High School and employee of Dayton Daily News for 32 years.
David was well-loved and was surrounded by many friends the day before his death. David loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He also loved the beauty of nature, biking, canoeing, bird-watching, tree-planting, playing softball, and other outdoor activities.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Caudell, nieces Beth (Jim) Hanneman and Anna (Todd) Parker, grand-nephews Max, Mitchell, and Zach, and grand-niece Elena.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. David will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in David's honor please consider Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373.
