Butler, David Lee, 71 of Tipp City passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 18, 1944 in Tucson, AZ to Ramon and Lois (Johnston) Butler, who precede him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 46 years; Gyneth Kay {Hall} Butler whom he married on June 6, 1970. Also surviving are daughter Ranie (Brian) Smith, Georgetown, KY, 3 sons; Rob Moon, Troy, OH, Ryann (Melissa) Butler, Cincinnati, OH Richard (Katie Lear) Butler, Cincinnati, OH 5 grandchildren; Nicholas & Brittany Salyer, Jack & Max Butler and Molly Dotson, great granddaughter, Aubrey Salyer, and one brother, Jon (Debbie) Butler, Gambier, OH. David was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and Ohio Northern University School of Pharmacy where he was a member of Sigma Pi and Phi Delta Chi. He worked at Hicksville Pharmacy from 1967-1975 and at Ken's Pharmacy from 1975-2010. David was a member of the Am-Vets, Troy, OH, the Moose Lodge of Angola, IN, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Tipp City, OH and was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial immediately following the service at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in loving memory of David to Cincinnati Children's Heart Institute.
