Bowser, David K. age 83 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away at home on Friday, August 19, 2022. David was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 14, 1939 to the late Arthur and Erma {Beck} Bowser. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara A. Bond. David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Linda {Cole} Bowser, children Col. DarrIn M. (Kari) Bowser of San Antonio, Texas, Brian K. Bowser of Huber Heights, Ohio, Sean T. (Paige) McVity of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Marcus T. Bowser of Tipp City, Ohio, and Lane A. (Alicia) McVity of Lancaster, Ohio, 9 grandchildren, Ali D. Bowser, Aidan D. McVity, Jenna R. Bowser, Emma M. Bowser, Zachary D. Bowser, Brennan C. McVity, Troy J. McVity, Libby K. McVity, and Nolan C. McVity, and one step-granddaughter Kaylan Loyd.
David studied at the University of Cincinnati where he earned his degree in Aerospace Engineering. David went on to be an Aerospace Engineer at the Flight Dynamics Laboratory, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. David began his career as a bench-level engineer, and quickly rose to the ranks of a Team Leader, Branch Chief, and eventually Division Chief. Throughout his professional career David was highly respected for promoting Air Force research and for caring for the best interests of the people he worked with. He spent 42 years in the field, and ultimately retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. David loved mountain climbing and made regular treks to the western states to climb. One of his most memorable accomplishments was taking his sons to the top of Mount Whitney, the highest mountain in the continental United states at 14,505 ft. David enjoyed mushroom hunting, camping, and he was an avid RC model airplane builder and loved flying the final products. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 1:30-2:30 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 with a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Pastor Dan Glover will be officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in David's honor to Interim HealthCare Hospice of Dayton Ohio, 7009 Taylorsville Road, Suite C, Dayton, OH 45424.
