King, Clyde C. "Gibby", age 81 of Tipp City, OH, passed away Monday April 4, 2016 at Heartland of Piqua. He was born September 19, 1934 in Monterey, TN to Clyde E. and Hattie A. {Stevens} King. He is preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life for 46 years Juanita {Etherington} King, daughter Pamela Jean King, and brothers James, Elmer, William and Carl King. He is survived by his son Rick (Joyce) Smallenbarger, Troy, OH, 2 daughters, Sharon Schuyler, Dayton, OH, Sandy (John) Taylor, Casstown, OH and brother Jackie Paul (Barb) King, Huber Heights, OH. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Chris (Jackie) Smallenbarger, Tina (Jeff) Mitchell, Amanda (Matt) Gross, Amy (Lonny) Wilmer and Andy (Erin) Taylor. Clyde loved listening to 50's rock & roll and gospel music. He enjoyed going outdoors, biking and watching old western movies. Clyde was a big kid among the kids. He worked several years at the Orchard Tavern in Troy and later owned and operated Gibby's Hill Top Restaurant in Huber Heights, OH. Clyde's family would like to give a special Thank You to his caregivers at his home, Shawn Wright , Shirley Patton, and good neighbors Scott and Colleen Boggs and Andy and his late wife Carolyn Dankworth. Also, the past two years the wonderful staff of Heartland of Piqua; Alene, Vonnie, Paige, and Michelle and the Hospice RN's Tammy and Erin. Funeral service for Clyde will be Saturday April 9, 2016 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371 at 10:30AM. Chaplain Mike Herbert officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
