Compton, Clarence J. age 75 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away December 21, 2022. Born June 7, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to Walter and Cecille Compton. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Patricia and Delores, nephew; Jeffrey Allen, nieces; Brenda Stricken of Lebanon, Missouri and Cristy Fox of Corpus Christi, Texas. Clarence is survived by nephew; Robert Allen of Phillipsburg, Missouri. Clarence enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Coral Sea and received a Purple Heart and was promoted to the PO2. He traveled the country as an electrician and worked wiring in nuclear plants. Clarence later worked at GM before retiring. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A graveside service will take place at 10:30AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Poplar Hill Cemetery, 1340 S. Dixie Drive, Vandalia, Ohio 45377. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clarence's honor to the VFW Post 4615, 121 E. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City.
