Claire Elizabeth {Albershart} Morlidge age 91 passed away at her home on Thursday, January 8, 2026 following a several year struggle with dementia. She was born September 21, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Thomas and Nell {Berry} Albershart. Claire is preceded in death by her parents and her high school sweetheart and loving husband Elihu "Buzz", a family physician in Tipp City for many years. She is survived by her brother Tom "Berry" Albershart of Denver, Colorado, daughter Liz Morlidge and partner and caregiver Tom Parsons of Elizabeth Township, Ohio, son John Morlidge of Forest Park, Illinois, sister-in-law Sara Hamel of Fort Thomas, Kentucky and several cousins.

Claire graduated from Highlands High School, Fort Thomas, Kentucky in 1952 and from Denison University in 1956. She taught French and English for three years at Colerain High School in Cincinnati before becoming a homemaker and mother. In 1961-1963 she realized her dream of living in France while Buzz was stationed there with the United States Air Force. Over the years she volunteered with the Tipp City school system. Claire also enjoyed volunteering with Buzz at the Needy Basket food pantry. She had a very good eye for design and enjoyed decorating her home in Tipp City as well as the later home she helped design in Elizabeth Township. Claire loved buying and selling antiques and was a major presence for many years at Benkins Antique Mall and at local auctions. She was also a gourmet cook and was famous for feeding and caring for everyone in sight. She loved all things British and French and was an avid reader and gardener. We would like to thank Ohio's Hospice for their excellent attention and care during Claire's final months of life, as we were able to keep her in the home that she loved so much.

A visitation will be held 10:00-12:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Interment of the ashes will be done privately by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Claire's honor to Needy Basket, Treasurer, 330 S. Fifth St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Rd. 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373 or your local hospice organization.
