Cinda (Landis) Thomas Obituary Cinda (Landis) Thomas, age 64, of Tipp City died peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, April 7th in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 15, 1946 to Marvin and Virginia (Gates) Landis. She was raised in Trotwood and graduated from Trotwood-Madison High School with honors in 1964. In 1968, she graduated from Wittenberg University with honors. Her passions in life were family, knitting, her church, and Corvettes. Her favorite place was her family lake house on Squirrel Lake, in Minocqua, WI. She met her future husband, Bob Thomas, in the Dayton Corvette Club. They were married in 1971 and started their family in 1972. Cinda is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Thomas; father, Marvin Landis; cousins Greg Swinger and Jim Gates. She is survived by her mother Virginia Landis of Vandalia, sons: John "Erik" Thomas of Tipp City, Dr. Marvin "Marty" Thomas of Tipp City, and Robert "Robb" and daughter-in-law Josie Thomas and their son Brody of Tipp City. Cinda is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws: Ann & Gene Luehmann, Englewood; Pat & Ted Bowden, Vandalia; Polly Thomas & Jerry Folk, Tipp City; Kim & Kerry Thomas, Tipp City; cousins: Denise Swinger & Joe Giardullo, Yellow Springs; Bill & Judy Gates, Mesa, AZ; Katherine Gates, Fair Oaks, CA; Larry & Alice Landis, Minneapolis, MN; Gail & Dick Marker, Venice, FL.; numerous nieces, nephew, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Visitation services will take place at Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W Main St Tipp City on Monday, April 11th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 475 West Loy Road, Piqua, on Tuesday, April 12th at 11am. The Committal service will immediately follow at Polk Grove Cemetery in Vandalia. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Cinda's memory.
