Lewis, Chester W. age 94 formerly of Barboursville, WV passed away Monday October 17, 2011 at Heartland of Piqua, OH. Born August 22, 1917 in Platform, Ohio to William and Minnie {Kearns} Lewis. Preceded in death by his parents and step-son Richard L. Baumgardner, sisters; Jessie Galloway and Helen Honaker, brothers; Otha, William, Don, John and Alvin Lewis. Chester is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; Edith K. {Wintz} Lewis, 1 granddaughter; Kimberly and her husband Jim Wharton of Tipp City, OH and 4 great grandchildren. Chester proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Corp, and retired from BASF where he worked as a security guard. Chester was a member of the Elwood Baptist Church in Barboursville, WV. He enjoyed singing hymns, playing music and most of all spending time with his family and family reunions. A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 20, 2011 at 1:00 PM at White Chapel Memorial Garden in Barboursville, WV.
