Mayer, Charlyne L. "Char" 92 of Celina, OH formerly of Tipp City passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater, OH. Born June 27, 1922 in Tippecanoe City, OH to Harold and Rose {Webster} Young. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sharon Lee Bowen Henneman. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard "Dick" Mayer, son, James and his wife Evelyn Hodge, Liberty, IN, stepchildren, Susan and her husband Sherman Brown, Doylestown, OH, Randy and his wife Kim Mayer, Dayton, OH, son in-law, Roy Thomas Henneman, Terre Haute, IN, grandchildren, Brenda & Bill Thornton, Troy, OH, Betsey & Tommy Henry, Riverside, OH, Kenny & Tana Bowen, Troy, OH, Barbara & Jeff Garrison, Dayton, OH, Alice Davisson & Jeff Elliott, Casstown, OH, Judi & Joe Apple, Knoxville, TN, along with 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Char was baptized in the Methodist Church was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Eagles Auxiliaries. She loved living by and boating on Lake St. Mary's. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
