Obituary

Sayre, Charles O. "Charlie" age 77 of Tipp City, Ohio died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Dayton. Born February 16, 1939 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Paul and Naomi (Hayes) Sayre Relyea. Charlie retired from Chrysler Corporation in Dayton. He was a proud United States Veteran of the Army. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Paul and Elmer Sayre. Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years Betty (Blagg) Sayre and his children Eric Sayre, Tipp City; Charles "Chuck" (Melissa) Sayre, Greenville; Gayle (Rick) Kerney, Washington State. Three stepchildren Patty (Mike) Robbins, Fort Loramie; Rita (Bruce) Opperman, New Knoxville; and Gary (Lydia) Pennington, Sidney. Brother Dale (Sarah) Sayre, Troy. Eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Charlie was a member of Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge #174, played the steel guitar for various local bands, loved flea marketing, collecting old albums and enjoying country and western music. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wedneday March 30, 2016 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main Street, Tipp City, OH 45371. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Vandalia.
