Berry, Charles Russ, 89 of Tipp City passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Born April 28, 1927 in Jefferson County, KY to the late Vester and Louise {Churchman} Berry. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Fogleman. "Russ" is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 71 years, Juanita {Crady} Berry, 3 sons, Charles (Joan), Robert (Kathy) and Dave (P.J.) Berry, 2 brothers, Roger Harland (Dot) and Carl (Nina) Berry; 8 grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan (Donna), Brenden (Amy), Matt (Megan), Chelsie Maloney (Adam), Jay (Megan), Tyler (Lani) and Brogan Berry. He was also a loving GG to Brayden and Lily Berry, Keegan and Breanna Berry, William and Cole Berry, Maeve and Cormac Maloney and Addy Berry. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. Russ moved from Louisville, KY in 1948 and worked at Paddock Pontiac for many years before purchasing Coffey's Body Shop & Towing in 1964. Russ was always involved in his sons' sports and was president of the Dayton View Little League. He was a member of the Dayton Buckeye Model A Ford Club of Dayton and Antique Automobile Club of America. He was an avid fan of the U. D. Flyers and Carroll's Girls basketball team. Good ole kind hearted Russ was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and GG. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Russ to the American Cancer Society.
