Cecelia "Marie" McGraw , peacefully passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
Born March 4, 1938 to Lawrence Wayne and Mary Florence (Hayden) Tyree, Marie grew up in Northridge surrounded by a large, close knit family and throughout her life family continued to be what mattered most to her.
On July 27, 1957 Marie married Oliver "Jim" McGraw and soon after, the two lived out their 54 year marriage with their 5 children, 16 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren on their farm on 25-A in Tipp City. Marie loved when family came to visit and to spend time with her grandchildren.
Marie had an enduring smile and was a friendly, familiar face at Tip Top Drugs, where she worked for over 35 years. Marie was an avid Elvis Presley fan, loved playing cards, and enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with her friends and family. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Mary Florence Tyree; brothers, Joseph, Paul, John, Bernard, and Richard; sisters, Mary Edwards, Dorothy Riber, and Shirley Syx; her husband Oliver; and her son Anthony "Tony".
She is survived by her children, James "Jimmy Dean," Jesse (Annemarie), Susan (Steve) Berger, Andrew (Cathy), and daughter in law Lisa. In addition to 16 grandchildren; Melinda Sherfy, Amanda, Steven (Megan), Joey, Michael (Annalise), Chelsea (Michael) Staton, Rachael, Kevin, Thomas, Lauren, David, Jenna, Erin, Mallory, Cassidy, Nicholas, and two great grandchildren; Delaney and Evelyn Sherfy.
Visitation will begin at noon followed by Mass at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH 45371; Father John Tonkin, Celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371.
