Turner, Carol V. 78 of Tipp City passed away at her home on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Born to the late Curt W. and Nellie M. {Pruett} Rose on November 8, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio. She is also preceded in death by her husband; Bill R. Turner in 1983 and son Michael S. Turner. She is survived by her children; Michelle L. (Steven Rievers) Turner and Patrick J. Turner all of Tipp City, sister; Nina E. and her husband Dennis Rose-Kay, Bellbrook, Ohio, brothers in-law; Don Turner, Vandalia, Maurice Turner, Florida along with nieces and nephew; Kathi (Dave) Herrick, Dawn Turner, Amanda Hernadaz and Jeff (Marie) Mee and her constant companion; Freddie, her dog. Carol was retired from the State Auditor's office where she was employed as a secretary. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was the first lady city council member, serving the city of Tipp City for 12 years, 4 as the council president. Carol was also a "Friend of Bill W." A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Father R. Marc Sherlock, Celebrant; burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2013 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
