Sommer, Brian James age 42 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away after a hard fought battle with leukemia Tuesday July 9, 2024. He was born January 3, 1982 in Troy, Ohio to James and Janice {Thobe} Sommer. Brian is survived by his loving wife; Christina "Tina" {Droesch} Sommer of Tipp City, children; Micah and Leland Sommer, siblings; Melissa (Norman) May of Troy, Jennifer (Greg) Kaylor of Tipp City  and Andy (Faye) Sommer of Tipp City. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Nicholas and Emily May, Logan and Lauren Kaylor, and Evie and Josie Sommer, mother and father in law; Mike and Dolores Droesch,  brother in law; Dan (Grace) Droesch and Andy Droesch.

Brian was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City. On July 28, 2018 Brian married his wife Tina at St. John's. He was a new member of the Knights of Columbus, a graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 2000, and received his Bachelor's in Accounting from Wright State University, where he went on to work as an Accountant for the Ohio Department of Taxation.  He liked playing a friendly game of poker, enjoyed motocross and was an Ohio State Buckeye fan. He loved going on adventures and spending time with his kids. During Brian's battle with leukemia he went through multiple blood transfusions, which is why he would always encourage others to donate blood and help save lives. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Brian will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Mass of Christian burial will be held the following day at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City. Father Andrew Smith, Celebrant. Burial to follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
