Hertz, Brenda S. age 73 of Troy, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 after a hard fought battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Brenda was born on April 16, 1951 in St. Albans, West Virginia to the late Owen and Freda {Steele} Jenkins. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 23 years, Michael D. Hertz. Brenda is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Brandon) Snow of Springboro, Ohio and Stephanie (Joshua) Powers of Tipp City, Ohio, one sister, Lana (Ken) Harless of Hurricane, West Virginia and four of Michael's siblings, Veronica (Craig) Shedan, Chris Bunting, Margaret (John) Kramer, and Jimmy (Terri) Hertz. Also, surviving are five grandchildren, Ella, Tyler and Gavin Snow, Adalynn and Liam Powers and several nieces and nephews.

Brenda earned her Associate's Degree from Fairmont State College in West Virginia. She moved to Ohio to work in medical billing and went on to work as an Administrative Assistant for St. Elizabeth and Franciscan Medical Center.  Then, she ultimately finished her career as a Credentialing Coordinator for Medical Mutual. Brenda was a very creative person and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and baking intricate birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She was an avid West Virginia Mountaineers fan and she loved to travel. Brenda and her family would take yearly trips to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland and the beaches of Florida. Brenda had a real zest for life. Even through her battle with cancer, she lived every day to the absolute fullest. Brenda's greatest love was for her family. She will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM the following day, Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the funeral home. Brenda will be laid to rest next to Michael at St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City.
