McCune, Betty A. 92 of Tipp City, formerly of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City. Born October 14, 1921 in New Castle, PA to Oscar and Sidna {Miller} Alexander. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Pastor William C. McCune, sisters; Dorothy Wyman, Ann Gailey, brother; Carl Alexander. She is survived by her sons, William "Gary" McCune, New Wilmington, PA, Frank L. (Bonnie) McCune, Miami, FL, Ronald (Carmi) McCune, Independence, MO and daughter; Darlene (Sam) Siembida, Tipp City, OH as well as sister in-law; Frannie Alexander, New Castle, PA, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Betty was a member of the South Chrysler Restoration Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ in Independence, MO, set up the library and served as the librarian for the church and the school, she was a member of the 1918 club, loved books and enjoyed reading. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Speaks Memorial Chapel at Lexington and Walnut in Independence, MO with burial to follow in Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, MO. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home in Missouri. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Betty to Hospice of Miami County.
