Rhoades, Barton K. "Bart" age 66 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully at his residence following a brief illness on Saturday, June 22, 2013 with his family by his side. Born February 27, 1947 in Grand Haven, MI to Luther and Mary Grace (Faun) Rhoades who preceded him in death. Bart served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Emery Air Freight. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Maria (Phillips) Rhoades. His children Anthony K. Rhoades, Huber Heights; Stacy and her husband Zac Thompson, Vandalia; Jacqueline Rhoades, Tipp City; and Tara Lynne and her husband Keith Thomas, Indianapolis. Brother Gene Rhoades, Kissimmee, FL and sister Melinda Rhoades-Storer, Tipp City. Three grandchildren; Alexis Campbell, Taylor and Lucas Thompson. Bart was a big Cleveland Browns and University of Illinois fan and an even bigger Indianapolis 500 fan. He attended the Indy 500 for the past 47 years straight until his illness. He loved the beach and was a special gardener who generously gave away his "veggies" to all his friends and neighbors. He adored his family, especially his grandkids and his cat Socrates!
