Oaks, Barbara A. (Lehman) age 70, of Tipp City, Ohio died Friday, August 11, 2017 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton following a lengthy illness. Barbara was born in Troy, Ohio on October 10, 1946 to Russell and Alice (Manson) Lehman. She was a 1964 graduate of Tippecanoe High School and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City. Barb was the owner of Tipp Florist, the business her parents owned and operated for many years. After their death Barb became the owner and could be seen designing flowers and greeting customers every day with her quick wit and ornery smile. Preceding Barbara in death are her parents, her daughter Carrie Shaleen in 1985, her husband Ted "Tiny" Oaks in 1991, her sister Karolyn Asbury in 2001, and an infant brother William. Surviving Barbara are her daughters Kathleen "Katie" (Richard) Warner, Cicero, IN and Maggie Washburn, Tipp City. Sisters Nancy (Danny) Trupp and Ann Lehman both of Tipp City. Three grandchildren Braden and Evan Warner and Shay Washburn. Also surviving are several nieces and nephew and her best friends in the world Chris Perkins and Susan Graf Sodergren who were there for her always. Barb loved nature particularly gardening and hummingbirds. She enjoyed having her friends visit and spend a day poolside relaxing and laughing together. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W Main Street, Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Private Family burial will be held at a later date at St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
