Obituary

Audrey Long, 91, a long-time resident of Tipp City, went to be with her Lord January 25, 2011 at Grace Brethren Village in Englewood, OH.

She was born July 26, 1919 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Forest and Minnie (Schwab) Cruse.

Audrey grew up in the Ginghamsburg area and graduated from Tippecanoe High School. She married Richard C. Long August 30, 1940 at Tipp City Methodist Church where they were active life-long members. She once served as secretary of that church and later was secretary at Tipp City Broadway Elementary School for 18 years. Over the years, she was in the church choir, was a member of the Dorcas Circle, and volunteered at the Clothes Line.

She and Richard enjoyed traveling for business and/or with some of their many friends. They also enjoyed spending a lot of time with their family... immediate and extended.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Wood of West Milton, OH, Dick Long (Cathy) and Mary Long of Tipp City, OH, and special daughter, Susan Cruse of Canby, OR; 6 grandchildren, Amy Karnehm, Susan Long, Kelly Jo Fresco (Mike), Debra Camarillo (Jamie), David Long (Ashley) and Heather Kingsley (Nick); 9 great grandchildren, Brooke, Alicia, Ryan, Ricky, Jackson, Hunter, Harlie, Nicole and Tonya; 5 great great grandchildren, Alexis, Xavier, Kelsy, Zachery and Lilly Jane.

Also surviving are sisters-in-law Nancy Thurman of Tipp City, Kathleen McMullen of Greenfield, OH and brother-in-law Joe Long (Lucille) of Tipp City plus many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Long, her brother, Earl Cruse, and her sister, Virginia Curtis.

Arrangements are being handled by FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 30, from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. at Tipp City United Methodist Church 8 W. Main St. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Tipp City United Methodist Church. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service.
