Springer, Alva E. age 85 of Tipp City, OH passed away at his home on Sunday, November 4, 2018.  Born April 25, 1933 in Piqua, OH to Zeno and Katherine {Denman} Springer.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores "Dolly" Springer.  He is survived by his sons, Ash (Kim) Springer, Xenia, OH, and Tim (Minda) Springer, Tipp City, OH, step-sons, Michael (Janet) Artz, Tipp City, OH and Wayne Stoner, Conover, OH along with sisters, Mary Swartz, Sidney, OH and JoAnn Cornett, Piqua, OH and 8 grandchildren.

Alva proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.  He worked for A. O. Smith as an Engineering Technician and Supervisor. Alva was a HAM Radio operator-K8 TO J.  He loved camping, fishing and gardening and was especially fond of recording weather data.

Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM  Friday, November 9, 2018 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371.  Funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM; Pastor Randy Reed officiating.  Burial will be on Saturday at Davis Cemetery, Greenhill, IN.
