Alice Faye McDaniel Stapleton, age 66, long time resident of Champaign County, passed away in her home on Monday December 18, 2017. Alice was born in Beehive, Hazard, Kentucky to the late Dorothy Riddle and Rufus McDaniel. She married the late Virgil Delmon Stapleton in 1968. Alice is survived by one Daughter, Brandi Funderburgh of Florida, and two Granddaughters, Brittany Sodeman of California and Darby Funderburgh of Florida. In addition, Alice is survived by one Sister, Edna Howard, Niece, Dawn Crusey of Ohio, & other family members. She enjoyed baking and gardening. Alice had a wonderful smile and eyes that could light up the room. She was brave, bold, and tenacious. She was loved and will be missed by her family.
