Dunham, Alberta M. age 91 of Vandalia, Ohio a former resident of Horton Ave. Tipp City died suddenly Thursday, December 24, 2009 at her residence. Born June 1, 1918 in Tipp City, Ohio to Arthur and Bertha {Reese} Heckman. Alberta was a retired social worker for the Miami County Courts, a 1940 graduate of The Ohio State University and a member of the Alumni Association, a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority and AAUW. Preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Aldred A. Heckman and Buddy Heckman. Survived by her husband Samuel B. Dunham whom she married in 1940, her children Diana (Michael) Grimes, Vandalia; Daniel (Sandra) Dunham, Tipp City; and Timothy Dunham, Dayton. Two grandchildren; Dylan and Samantha Dunham. Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM Wednesday, December 30th at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 south Dixie Dr. with Rev. Tom Weeks officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday starting at 3PM prior to the service. Alberta's wishes were that if so desired memorial gifts be made to Aullwood, the local Heart Association and Sicsa or the charity of your choice.
