Thomas Wick I Obituary

Just plain Tom Wick, an ordinary guy left this earth on May 20th, 2019 to begin a new journey.

Thomas Winston Wick I, our father was born in Tipp City, Ohio, on November 13, 1935, to Charles and Katherine Wick.  Tom was anything but plain and ordinary.  He was definitely one of a kind dad, grandfather, a ladies man, one heck of a cook, a beer connoisseur, a walking encyclopedia and a die hard fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes,

Tom was a proud Tipp City Red Devil, graduating from Tipp City High School in 1954.  After which he served as a Marine in the Korean War.

Tom spent the last several years making unforgettable memories with his children.  He travelled, gambled, cooked and got all of us into trouble.  He had the pleasure of completing all but one item on his bucket list.  Meeting his granddaughters Erin and Jaki and their children after nearly 80 years was the highlight of his bucket list and completed his circle of life.

Tom leaves behind four children that had no choice but to tolerate him over the years.  Collette Wick, the oldest daughter and most directionally challenged, Thomas W Wick II, the favorite son because he is the only son we know of, Theresa Randall, the middle daughter and always most prepared and finally Baby Sue (Tammy Wick), the pickiest eater of them all.  Tom also leaves behind a stepdaughter Karen Taylor.

In addition he leaves behind his grandchildren that he was so amazingly proud of and loved so dearly.  Erin Porter, Jaki (Cody) Craig, Kelli Weirsma, Randy (Sarah) Wick, Samantha (Mike) McActee, Dustin Knisley, Shane Dodd, Sara Wick, Anne Randall, Elizabeth Randall, Savanna Dodd, Christian Clark, Richard (Christina) Trissell and Cammie (Quentin) Perretta.

He will miss seeing his 15 great grandchildren grow up to be the incredible people that they are meant to be.

Tom also leaves behind his wife of 38 years Diana Wick who currently resides in Florida and faithful companion Gracie.

Preceded in his death was his first wife Mae Jean Wick, his parents Charles and Katherine Wick, sisters Diane (Herb) Gladman, Betty (William) Kessler and brothers Don Ray Wick and Terry Wick.

The family would like to personally thank the Randall Residence of Tipp City for the care, generosity and love they provided to Tom.  We are forever in your gratitude.  And we thank all his friends and family for sharing his life with him.

In lieu of flowers Tom would like that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in his name.  Crossroads Hospice Gift of the Day is a program he was very fond of as well.

We love you daddy!
