Taylor, Joanna Marie, of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Born June 24, 1981 in Dayton, OH to Charles R. Taylor and Judy {Lightcap} VerValin. Joanna is preceded in death by he maternal grandparents, Charles and Mickey Lightcap and paternal grandparents, Robert M. and RoseMary Taylor. She is survived by her partner Aaron Hiser, mother Judy and Dave VerValin, father, Charles R. and Kathy J.Taylor, sisters and family- Astrea and Tim Krug, Adrienne and John Rodemann, Amy VerValin, Megan and Brian Barr, Eric VerValin and Danielle Holst plus seven nephews and nieces. In addition, her Grandmother Lorraine VerValin, aunts and uncles. As well as close friends Kristin and Justine, Di Di and Amy and countless more.
Joanna Attended Wright State University in WSU Orchestra program, worked free-lance as strings music teacher and enjoyed performing in local music events where she met her partner, Aaron over 13 years ago.
She was a gentle soul who loved spending time with friends and family. Joanna was a talented musician and music teacher of violin, viola and cello. She was beautiful inside and out- always soft spoken but committed to her beliefs. Joanna had an inner strength and battled Inflammatory Breast Cancer for over 18 months - She never gave up but continued to hope for more time and freedom from cancer. She is now free from cancer and all the things included in that diagnosis. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Rest in peace Joanna.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Joanna to the Pink Ribbon Girls or Ohio’s Hospice.
