Hampton, Douglas age 73 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away suddenly Friday, October 12, 2018. Born December 22, 1944 in Burdine, Kentucky to Herbert and Helen {Hall} Hampton, who preceded him in death. Doug was retired from Formed Fiber in Sidney, Ohio and a member of the Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. Doug will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandad, and friend. Doug had a special love for University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball. His other passions were the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes, Troy Soccer and Wright State University Hockey. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy “Dottie”{Dixon} Hampton, son James D. (Laura) Hampton, Troy, OH, daughter Marleen (Vince) Godsey, Tipp City, OH, brother Wallace (Dorothy) Hampton, Dayton, OH, grandchildren Dakota Hampton, Clayton Terrill, Peyton Hampton, Merea Terrill, and Sidney Hampton, and his four-legged friend Daisy. Funeral Services 1:00pm Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371 with burial to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Vandalia. Pastor Rachael Billups officiating. Visitation Wednesday 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm all at Frings& Bayliff Funeral Home.
