Donia Mae (Caldwell) Nichols

Nichols, Donia Mae (nee Caldwell), age 87, of Merrillville, Indiana, formerly of Troy, Ohio, went to Heaven on Monday, September 16, 2019.

She is survived by her children:  Michael (Liz) Nichols, Kathy (Dave) Ratchford, and David “Dusty” (Dorothy) Nichols; her 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; her brother, Larry (Betty) Caldwell; and her sister-in-law, Margie Clevenger.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Nichols in 2010; her parents: Ira and Julia Caldwell; and her brothers:  Harold Caldwell and Kenneth Caldwell.

Donia loved to ride motorcycles with her husband.  She was a true die-hard Ohio Buckeye Fan and if it was game day, just expect Donia to be a spectator in front of the TV!  In her spare time, she loved to do crafts for her family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday September 20, 2019 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371 and one hour prior to the service. Funeral service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at the Maple Hill Cemetery.
